Tumor metastasis is the main cause of poor prognosis and cancer-related death in cancer patients. In recent years, the influence of lipid metabolism on tumor metastasis has attracted much attention. Lipid metabolism is currently considered to be one of the important characteristics of tumor cell metabolism. As an indispensable component of cell metabolism, lipid metabolism undergoes significant metabolic changes in tumor metastasis. Lipid metabolism can affect tumor metastasis through many factors, mainly including providing energy, inducing membrane remodeling, participating in signal transduction, and interacting with the tumor microenvironment.
