Abstract:Beta-lactams are the most widely used class of antibiotics with important clinical value. The standardization of skin test for these drugs has been the focus of clinical attention and discussion. There are still many differences on the clinical significance, indications, skin test methods and interpretation of the results of skin test. This paper interpretated the guidelines for skin testing of β lactam antibiotics issued by the NHC in 2021 and relevant progress, in order to allow more medical workers pay attention to and study relevant knowledge, standardize the clinical practice of skin test of β lactam antibiotics, ensure patient safety, and promote rational application of antibacterial drugs.
