Abstract:【Abstract】Inflammatory bowel disease is a chronic recurrent intestinal inflammatory disease. Its pathogenesis has not been clearly studied. It has been found that the intestinal nervous system plays an important role in regulating intestinal epithelial barrier function and intestinal immune homeostasis. The changes of intestinal nervous system are directly related to the development and symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease. In this paper, the role of intestinal glial cells in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) was reviewed, including the role of intestinal glial cells on intestinal epithelial barrier, the changes and effects of intestinal glial cell expression proteins after inflammatory stimulation, the changes of intestinal glial cell receptors after inflammatory stimulation, and the effects of cytokines and chemical substances released by intestinal glial cells after inflammatory stimulation.
