Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), specific at sequence binding protein 1 (SATB1) and CK5 / 6 and the characteristics of conventional ultrasound, shear wave elastography (SWE) and contrastenhanced ultrasound (CEUS). Methods From August 2018 to August 2020, 216 female breast cancer patients who underwent surgery in Baoshan Branch of Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University and Northwest Women's and Children's Hospital were selected as the research objects, with a total of 216 lesions. Routine ultrasound, SWE and CEUS were performed before operation, and specimens were collected for pathological diagnosis. The expression levels of VEGF, SATB1 and CK5/6 were detected by immunohistochemistry. Univariate analysis and binary logistic regression were used to analyze the correlation between multimodal ultrasound features and VEGF, SATB1 and CK5/6.Results In univariate analysis, the expression of VEGF and CK5/6 was related to the presence of microcalcification in conventional ultrasound features, and SATB1 was related to the status of tumor margin and microcalcification (all P<0.05). SWE results showed that the proportion of hard ring sign in SATB1 and CK5/6 positive patients was significantly higher than that in negative patients (all P<0.05), while the proportion of black hole sign in positive and negative patients had no significant difference (P>0.05). The results of CEUS showed that the degree of enhancement, the mode of enhancement and the mode of regression were related to the expression level of VEGF, the mode of regression was related to the expression level of SATB1, and the degree of enhancement and the mode of regression were related to the expression level of CK5/6 (all P<0.05). Binary logistic analysis showed that high CEUS enhancement and late regression were independent risk factors for VEGF expression in breast cancer (P<0.05). Microcalcification, hard ring sign and late regression of CEUS were independent risk factors for positive expression of SATB1 (P<0.05). The independent risk factors of CK5/6 positive expression in breast cancer were microcalcification, high CEUS enhancement and late regression (P<0.05).Conclusion Multimodal ultrasound features of breast cancer can be used to predict the expression of VEGF, SATB1 and CK5/ 6, so as to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
