Abstract:【Abstract】Chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes are common among the patients with Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID19). The pathological mechanism of COVID19 starts from the combination of virus S protein and ACE2 receptor of type Ⅱ alveolar epithelial cells, which results in the decrease of ACE2 level in the lung and the imbalance of ACE2 / ACE function, triggers the excessive production of Ang Ⅱ and cytokine storm, and leads to lung function damage and hypoxemia. ACE, ACE2 and AngⅡ, as the main effective components of RAS, also play a key role in hypertension, cardiovascular disease and target organ damage. Whether RAS blockers have adverse effects on patients with COVID19 is a controversial topic. How to manage blood pressure and protect the target organs of heart and kidney in hypertensive patients with COVID19 is a new topic worthy of study.
