【Abstract】Valvular heart disease is a common heart disease, and the prognosis is poor once symptoms appear, especially when combined with cardiac failure. With the aging trend of the global population, the number of elderly valvular disease patients is increasing and degenerative diseases and functional lesions are the main causes of elderly valvular disease patients. Although surgical repair and replacement are the main effective treatment methods for valvular diseases, but for this group of people, surgical risks are very high, often cannot get the opportunity of surgery, so valvular disease intervention began to receive attention and development. In this paper, the development of interventional therapy for valvular heart disease abroad and at home are reviewed, and its future development in China is prospected.
