Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of long noncoding RNA actin filament associated protein 1 antisenseRNA1 (AFAP1-AS1) in NSCLC and normal lung tissue, and analyze the relationship of long noncoding RNA AFAP1AS1 with clinicpathological features in NSCLC.Methods The expression levels of long noncoding RNA AFAP1AS1 in NSCLC and normal lung tissue were detected by using realtime reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR), and their correlation with clinicpathologic features of NSCLC tumor was analyzed. 〖WTHZ〗Results 〖WTBZ〗Expressionlevels of long noncoding RNA AFAP1AS1 were significantly higher than that in NSCLC tissues in normal lung tissues. The expression of long noncoding RNA AFAP1-AS1 was associated with tumor size, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis. The expression of long noncoding RNA AFAP1AS1 was higher in NSCLC tissues of patients whose tumor size was larger than 3cm, or who had late TNM stage or who appeared lymph node metastasis. Conclusion The levelof long noncoding RNA AFAP1-AS1 expression is higher in NSCLC than that in normal lung tissues. It may be an oncogene in NSCLC.
