Abstract:【Abstract】 The incidence rate of erectile dysfunction (ED) in middle-aged people (over 40 years) is increasing. At present, oral phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors and intracavernous injection of penis are unable to treat ed from the perspective of pathophysiology, and there are many adverse reactions. Low intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy (Li ESWT) is a new type of noninvasive shock wave therapy. It can restore penile function from the pathophysiological point of view. Its less adverse reactions and advantages have been fully demonstrated in the experiment. Especially for the patients with ED after radical prostatectomy and kidney transplantation, the clinical effect is good. In this paper, the prognosis and Prospect of Li ESWT in the treatment of ED are reviewed.
