Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective to investigate the expression and clinical significance of γ-glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT) in the serum of patients with lupus nephritis (LN). Methods The patients were admitted to The Affiliated Hospital of Southwestern Medical University from July 2013 to August 2018. 73 patients with LN and regular follow-up and 82 healthy subjects were selected. The GGT level of the two groups and the GGT changes before and after treatment in the LN group were compared. In addition, 91 LN patients with complete data of 24-hour urine protein quantization (24hU-Pro), complement (C3, C4), GGT, albumin (ALB), creatinine (Cr), and prealbumin (PA) were selected, analyze the correlation between GGT levels and 24hU-Pro, C3, C4, ALB, Cr, PA and other indicators. Results The GGT level in patients with LN was significantly higher than that in healthy group (P<0.05). The GGT level in patients with LN was significantly lower than that before treatment (P<0.05).The serum GGT levels of LN patients were correlated with 24hU-Pro, Cr and PA, among which 24hU-Pro most closely (r=0.411). Conclusion The serum GGT in patients with LN is higher than that of the normal group. The GGT level is significantly decreased after treatment, and it is related to 24hU-Pro, Cr, and PA. Clinically, it is possible to evaluate the patient's condition and treatment effect by monitoring the serum GGT levels.
