Abstract:Protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP2 is a kind of phosphatase widely distributed in cells of the body. It regulates the phosphorylation level of target protein together with protein kinase, and plays an important regulatory role in cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, invasion, metastasis, drug resistance and other aspects. SHP2 promotes the tumor progression of various cancers, and the reduction of SHP2 activity inhibits the growth of tumor cells, which is a potential target for cancer treatment. Since the expression of SHP2 in lung cancer can be reduced or knocked out to inhibit and delay tumor progression, SHP2 is expected to become a new target for treatment of lung cancer. In this article, the expression of SHP2 in lung cancer, related signaling pathways and drug resistance are reviewed.
