Cartilage injury caused by various causes such as trauma, inflammation, and degeneration is very common in clinic. Since the cartilage selfrepair ability is extremely limited, the cartilage repair is an urgent problem in clinic. Nowadays, there are still some problems about the traditional treatments. Tissueengineered cartilage is considered as a fundamental method for cartilage disease, and brings new hope for the repairmen of cartilage injury. With the development of technology, huge progress has been made about tissueengineered cartilage in recent years. Some products have been entered the clinical research stage. This review following primary introduces the new progress about tissueengineered cartilage.
