Abstract:【Abstract】 Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is one of the most common and serious chronic microvascular complications of diabetes and an important cause of end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The detailed etiology and pathogenesis of DKD are still unclear. At present, there is no effective treatment method, which mainly delays the DKD process by effectively controlling blood sugar , blood pressure and lipid metabolism disorders , reducing urine protein and other factors. Ferulic acid is one of the active constituents of traditional Chinese medicines such as Chuanxiong and Angelica. It has antiplatelet aggregation , promotes platelet depolymerization , anti-thrombosis , anti-oxidation , anti-free radical and other biological activities. Piperazine ferulate(PF) is a derivative synthesized by ferulic acid. A large number of experiments in vitroandinvivohaveshownthatpiperazineferulatecandelaytheprogressionofDKDthroughthepotentialmechanismof affecting kidney damage. This article reviews the research status and related mechanism of piperazine ferulate in the treatment of diabetic kidney disease.
