Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the predictive value of ultrasonic nuchal translucency (NT) examination parameters and clinical characteristic for abortion. Methods 80 pregnant wo men with miscarriages and 420 pregnant women with pregnancy more than 28 weeks underwent NT examination between pregnancy 11 and 13 + 6 weeks in our hospital were enrolled. NT examination parameters including crown-rump length, fetal heart rate and NT and clinical parameters including maternal age, previous miscarriage more than 2 times, vaginal bleeding in first trimester, abdominal pain in first trimester, conception by assisted reproduction and history of cesarean section between two groups were compared. The parameters with significant difference between two groups were incorporated into the multiple COX regression models. The meaningful indicators were scored. Results Significant differences were observed in NT, maternal age, vaginal bleeding in first trimester and previous miscarriage more than 2 times between the two groups (P<0.05). In the cox model, they were also independently associated with spontaneous abortion (Odds ratio were 2. 579 , 1. 055 , 3. 337 and 1. 806 , respectively). NT value not less than 1. 6mm, maternal age not less than 35 years, the incidence of vaginal bleeding in first trimester and previous abortions more than 2 times were scored 1 point respectively. The rate of abortion with scores 22 points andV2 points were 34. 86 % and 10.74% , respectively. The rate of abortion with scores ^3 points and V3 points were 45. 45% and 14. 64% , respectively. Conclusion The parameters of NT,maternal age,the incidence rate of vaginal bleeding in first trimester and previous abortions more than 2 times have strong predictive value for abortion. They may play an important role in monitoring the pregnancy and reduce the incidence of abortion.
