Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the effects of desogestrel ethinyl estradiol on estradiol, follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone in peri-menopausal women with dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Methods 40 women with peri-menopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding were randomly divided into control group (45 cases)and study group (45 cases). The control group received Metformin (25 mg/d) , and the study group received desogestrel ethinyl estradiol tablets (30ug, bid). The serum levels of sex hormones, blood coagulation and hemoglobin were detected. Doppler ultrasonography were used to measure endometrial thickness, levels of PSV, RI and PI of uterine arterial blood flow. The clinical curative effect and adverse reaction were compared. Results Compared with before treatment, the clinical symptom score and interhemorrhage volume in 2 groups decreased after treatment, levels of endometrial thickness and RI decreased ,levels of serum FSH, LH, E2 content decreased, levels of APTT, PT content decreased, and levels of Hemoglobin content increased (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the clinical symptom score and interhemorrhage volume in study group were lower, levels of Endometrial thickness and RI were lower, levels of serum FSH, LH, E2 content were lower, and levels of APTT, PT content were lower, and levels of hemoglobin content were higher (P<0.05). The effective rate of the control group 71. 11 % was lower than the study group 88. 89% (P<0.05). Conclusion Desogestrel with ethinyl estradiol is effective in treating perimenopausal women with dysfunctional uterine bleeding. It can decrease the levels of hormones and intima thickness and improve the coagulation function.
