Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the control effect of Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection on radiationinduced lung injury in patients with locally advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods Eighty patients with locally advanced NSCLC treated in the hospital from December 2016 to November 2017 were divided into the control group and the observation group by the random number table method, 40 cases in each group. Both groups were given radiotherapy, and on the basis, the observation group was additionally treated with Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection. Effects of radiotherapy, levels of plasma transforming growth factorβ1 (TGFβ1), serum intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM1) and lung function indicators [forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and carbon monoxide diffusion capacity (DLCO)] were compared between the two groups. Imaging examinations were performed on both groups, and the incidence of adverse reactions was recorded. Results There was no significant difference between the effective remission rate between the two groups (5750% vs 5000%) (P>0.05). Levels of plasma TGFβ1 and serum ICAM1 in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in FVC or FEV1 (P>0.05). The DLCO level was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence rates of radiation pneumonitis and radiationinduced pulmonary fibrosis in the observation group (1250% and 1000%) were lower than those in the control group (3250% and 3250%) (P<0.05). There was no significant differences in adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection can improve the lung diffusion function and reduce radiationinduced lung injury in patients with locally advanced NSCLC.
