Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of BRCA1, ALDH1 and nm23 on breast cancer. Methods There are 836 patients with operable breast cancer diagnosed in Oncological Surgery of Affiliated Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from 2002 to 2008 were recruited. The patients were divided into death group and control group after following up for 5 years. Protein expressions of BRCA1, ALDH1 and nm23 in cancer tissue were assayed by immunehistochemical staining. Spearman’s means was used to analyze the correlation of BRAC1, ALDH1 and nm23. Results Protein expression of BRCA1 and nm23 were lower in death group than control group. Expression of ALDH1 was increased in death group compared to the control group. Expression of ALDH1 in cancer tissue was negative correlated to BRCA1 and nm23, and expression of BRCA1 was positive to nm23. Conclusion Joint detection of BRCA1, ALDH1 and nm23 might be a biological marker for forecasting prognosis and directing therapy of breast cancer.
