Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the nasal tip hypertrophy / poor appearance by rhinoplasty with autogenous costal cartilage filled with nasal tip in rhinoplasty. Methods The clinical data and followup data of 88 patients with nasorostral hypertrophy admitted to our hospital from September 2014 to October 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. 42 patients in the control group received the bulk material as nasal tip filler, while the 46 patients in the treatment group received the alar cartilage graft. The operative time, shape improvement effect and complications were compared and analyzed. Results The operation time and postoperative correction effect in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group (P<005). The difference in width of nasal tip, the angle of nose tip, the posterior rotation angle, performance point, satisfaction for the height of nasal dorsum had no significant difference (P>005). The incidence of complications in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences (217% vs 1429%; P>005). Conclusion The application of the autologous alar cartilage graft for patients with nasorostral hypertrophy has achieved obvious postoperative effect with less complications, which is worthy of promotion.
