【Abstract】 Comorbidities in patients with epilepsy are very common in clinical work, including mental and nonpsychotic diseases. Although comorbidities in epilepsy have been recognized now, but there is still underestimation of all comorbidities, resulting in inadequate treatment. Strengthening the understanding of comorbidities would not only helpful for prevention of risk factors as early as possible, but can also take into account the longterm benefits of epilepsy treatment, moreover, can improve the quality of life of epilepsy patients and promote the overall health. In this manuscript, the classification, clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatment strategy of comorbidities are discussed below, in order to identify and treat concomitant diseases in patients with epilepsy in early stage. provide evidence for more reasonable treatment strategy.
