Objective To explore the value of abdominal acupoint massage combined with acupuncture in capsule endoscopic examination.Methods 68 patients were divided into observation group and the control group (n=34). The control group was given conventional way for intestinal preparation. The observation group was given the traditional way for intestinal preparation and massage on Tianshu point, Shenque point, Zhongwan point and Daheng point. The terms of intestinal cleanliness, patient subjective experience, and time of capsule passing through the gastrointestinal tract were observed.Results The intestinal cleanliness of observation group was significantly better than that of control group (P＜0.05). The intestinal preparation of subjective feeling had no statistical significance (P＞0.05). The time capsule of through the stomach of the experimental group was faster than in the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion Abdominal acupuncture point massage used in capsule endoscopy check can improve the intestinal cleanliness, reduce capsule and improve lesion detection rate.
