Abstract:【Abstract】 Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurological, degenerative and progressive disorder that destroys memory and other important cognitive functions. Treating AD has become a healthcare and societal priority and the cost of care and the burden on society and caregivers keep increasing. However, it is still irremediable yet and has become one of the focuses of domestic and international researches. Animal models are of great significance for experimental researches on etiology, pathology, and medicine of AD.In this article, we introduce and compare the commonlyused animal models of AD in a bid to provide references for the further studies on AD.
