Abstract:【Abstract】 Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is one of the worldwide public health problem. In China, the prevalence of CKD in adults is 108%. Hyperphosphatemia is a common complication of chronic kidney disease, especially in endstage renal disease. Hyperphosphatemia is a high risk factor for cardiovascular events (CVD). It is common in patients with Hemodialysis (HD) and increased the high mortality rate of CKD patients. The most rencet approach of controling hyperphosphstemia is combination of low phosphorus diet, adequate dialysis and medicine. Phosphorus binderis widely used in clinical practice. Now, Some studies have shown that niacin and nicotinamide effectively reduce serum phosphorous in hemodialysis patients. In this paper, it is reviewed.
