Abstract:Objective To study on effects of early essential newborn care on the weight growth of infants.Methods The maternals and newborns labored in hospital during July 2016 to April 2017 were selected. 203 cases were randomly divided into the control group (N=100) and the experimental group (N=103). The control group were gave the traditional care, and the experimental group were gave early essential newborn care.Results The weight of newborns on born, out of the hospital and 6 months had no significant difference between the two groups. The weight of infants on 30 days, 3 months had significant difference between the two groups. The duration of the time of skin-to-skin contact and the first suck have significant difference between the two groups.Conclusion EENC could increase the time of skin-t- skin contact and promote infants weight gain.
