【Abstract】In recent years, domestic and foreign scholars have studied the correlation between patent foramen ovale (PFO) and cryptogenic cerebral infarction(CCI), and made gratifying progress. This article reviews the research progress on the definition of PFO, the mechanism of action, the method of examination and treatment, and the correlation between PFO and CCI.
