Abstract:Objective To explore the effective strategy of hand rehabilitation after deep burns. Methods 142 patients with deep burned hands were randomly included in the intervention group from Jan 2013 to Dec 2015, which received comprehensive nursing interventions; and 140 patients with deep burned hands were included in the control group before January 2013, which accepted traditional routing nursing methods. The appearance of the hands in the two groups was analyzed after 3 and 6 months. The rehabilitation of the hand function in the two groups was analyzed at discharge and after 1, 3, and 6 months. Results The appearance of hand scars after 3 and 6 months were significantly different (P<0.05),which the intervention group was better than the control group by Vancouver Scar Scale. The rehabilitation of the hand function was statistically significantly different (P<0.05) at discharge, after 1, 3, and 6 months, which the intervention group was better than the control group by DASH. Conclusion The comprehensive nursing intervention can effectively promote the rehabilitation of the appearance and function, leading to the patients with deep burned hands returning to the family and the society early.
