【Abstract】 Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), one of the most important chronic diseases is a threat for public health in China. With advancements in COPD research, Global Initiative for COPD (GOLD 2017) makes updates in many aspects, including definition, assessment, treatment, etc. This is an editorial for GOLD 2017 updates and clinical practice of COPD in China.
