Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To explore the nursing intervention strategy to improve the selfmanagement ability and prognosis of patients with type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus. Methods 178 patients with type Ⅱ diabetes were randomly divided into observation group and control group according to their time of hospitalization. The patients were given routine treatment and care. The observation group was treated targeted care on the basis of the implementation. The selfmanagement ability, coping style, quality of life and blood glucose of the two groups were evaluated. The incidence of hypoglycemia and the satisfaction of treatment were statistically compared. Results After the intervention of the target nursing, the scores of selfmanagement ability, coping style and quality of life of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, 2h postprandial blood glucose and body mass index and the incidence of hypoglycemia of observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of the patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Patients with Type Ⅱ diabetes can improve their selfmanagement ability, their coping style and quality of life, keep blood sugar stable, reduce the incidence of hypoglycemia and improve the treatment satisfaction.
