Abstract:【Abstract】Hepatocellular carcinoma is a lethal disease that kills several homchad thousands of thousands of people every year across the globe. Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) is a widely used approach in clinical practice to treat hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). However, we are now facing many challenges in the field of improving the survival outcomes of TACE for the treatment of HCC. This paper reviews recent advances in TACE treatment of HCC with the highlights of newly developed embolization agents and combiantion use of TACE and other treatment methods to get improved outcome of patients with HCC.
