【Abstract】 Objective To explore the influence of developing comprehensive quality nursing on patient safety.Methods 314178 hospitalized patients in People’s Hospital of Leshan from Jan.2007 to Dec.2015 were divided into observation group (198062 cases) and comparison group (116116 cases). The comparison group was treated with conventional nursing. The observation group was treated with comprehensive quality nursing. The data and tendency of nursing adverse events were analyzed. The influence of quality nursing care on patient safety was evaluated.Results The occurrence of nursing adverse events of observation group was significantly less than that of the comparison group（P＜0.05）. The incidence rate decreased year by year. The incidence rate of falling, treatmentrelated events, transfusionrelated events of the observation group were significantly lower than that of the comparison group（P＜0.05）. The difference of the incidence rate of pipe slippage and surgeryrelated events and accidents had no statistic meaning(P＞0.05). Patients of both groups did not experience the unexpected pressure ulcer.Conclusion Comprehensive quality nursing can reduce nursing adverse events, provide safe and high quality nursing for patients, and realize the value of nursing profession.
