【Abstract】 Traditional monitoring of haemodynamic is invasive, complex to apply and involve complications. Flo Trac/Vigileo system is a new technology designed by Edwards Lifesciences for haemodynamic monitoring which is minimally invasive and easy to set up. After more than ten year`s development, the system has been updated to the fourth generation. The accuracy and reliability were improved gradually. But under special situation or pathological state, the result monitored by the system has large deviations compare to physical truth. Therefore, the Flo Trac/Vigileo system cannot replace the traditional monitoring method yet, but with constantly improving, the system expected to be one of the main methods for haemodynamic monitoring.
