Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To research the expression of inhibitor of growth family member 4 (ING4) in bladder urothelial carcinoma, corresponding cancer adjacent tissues and normal bladder mucous membrane tissues and investigate the expression and clinical significance of ING4 in bladder urothelial carcinoma. Methods The expressions of ING4 was detected by immunohistochemical staining assay in 60 patients of bladder urothelial carcinoma, 60 samples of corresponding cancer adjacent tissues and 37 samples of normal bladder mucous membrane tissues. The clinical stages, pathological types, gender, incipient and relapse, tumor size, tumor location and number of tumors were analyzed. Results The positive expression rate of ING4 in normal bladder mucous membrane tissues and tissue adjacent to carcinoma were significantly higher than that in bladder urothelial carcinoma (P<005). The positive expression rate of ING4 in low level and non-muscle invasive carcinoma were higher than high level or invasive carcinoma (P<005). Conclusion The higher level of tumor pathology or clinical staging, the more obvious expression of ING4 in the bladder urothelial carcinoma, which suggestes that ING4 plays an important role on the occurrence and development of bladder urothelial carcinoma.
