【Abstract】 Objective To evaluate the value and significance of Chinese medicine dialectic treatment of severe pneumonia patients complicated antibioticassociated diarrhea (AAD). Methods 40 severe pneumonia patients with AAD were divided into treatment group and control group. 20 cases in treatment group were divided into Pishen Yangxu group and Shixie Neizhu Group according Chinese medicine dialectic. Pishen Yangxu group and Shixie Neizhu Group were treated with Jiaweiweiguanjian and Jiaweirenshenbaidusan for 5 days.20 cases in control were treated with conventional treatment. All cases were treated with oral metronidazole and bifidobacterium lactobacillus for 5 days. The related indexes were observed. Results The differences of improvement of clinical symptom scores, drug onset time, symptoms recurrence rate, length and cost of hospitalization were statistically significant between treatment group and control group (P＜005). The differences of blood routine, liver and kidney function between treatment group and control group were not statistically significant (P＞005). Conclusion The clinical curative effect and health economics of Chinese medicine dialectical treatment of severe pneumonia patients complicated AAD is better than that of conventional treatment.
