Abstract:Heart failure is the endstage manifestation of cardiac diseases with a high hospitalization rate and poor prognosis. In the past 50 years, heart failure diagnosis and management are constantly changing. This article reviews chronic heart failure staging, nomenclature and classification, and also changes in drugs and treatment strategies. Moreover, a new class of drugs, such as ARNI, SGLT2i, and vericiguat will be introduced in detail.
