Abstract:【Abstract】Rheumatic disease refers to a group of diseases affecting bone, joints and surrounding soft tissues. Its etiology includes infectivity, immunity, metabolic, endocrine, degenerative, hereditary, tumorigenic and so on. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are a highly conserved family of stress proteins, which play an important role in inflammatory, immune and metabolic reactions. It was found that the level of HSP70 in serum of patients with rheumatoid arthritis was increased, HSP90 inhibitors could alleviate the inflammatory reaction of lupus mice, and the expression of HSP70 in synovium of patients with osteoarthritis was upregulated. All these indicate that Heat shock proteins may be related to the occurrence and development of rheumatic diseases, but the specific role and mechanism are still unclear. This article reviews the research progress of Heat shock proteins in rheumatic diseases in recent years.
