Abstract:【Abstract】Objective To explore the prevalence and risk factors of gastric ulcer among the people who took part in gastroscopy in the health examination center. Methods A crosssectional study was conducted to collect the medical examination results from August 2016 to August 2017 in the physical examination center of Southwest Hospital, Army Medical University. Epidemiological information was collected through facetoface questionnaires. In addition, routine physical examinations and biochemical indexes were performed on the subjects. The risk factors of gastric ulcer were analyzed by multiple logistic regression. Results A t 101 participants were included in the present study. 59 were males and 42 were females. The mean age was 4667±822 years. 24 patients were diagnosed with gastric ulcer by gastroscopy, with a prevalence of 238%. There was no significant difference between male and female (2=088, P=035). Logistic regression showed that high triglycerides and alcohol consumption were risk factors for gastric ulcer, while other factors were not significantly associated with gastric ulcer. Conclusion The prevalence of gastric ulcer was relatively high in subjects participated in the gastroscope examination. Higher triglyceride levels and alcohol consumption are risk factors for gastric ulcer disease. In the future, health intervention should be carried out for people with frequent drinking and higher triglyceride levels to reduce the risk of gastric ulcer disease.
