Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To research the efficacy of percutaneous PVP combined with bisphosphonates for vertebral malignant tumor. Methods 32 patients with vertebral malignant tumor were divided into observation group and control group. The observation group was treated with PVP plus bisphosphonates regimen. The control group was treated with bisphosphonates regime alonely. Efficacy of the two groups were observed and compared. Results At 24th hour, 1th week, 1th month and 3rd month after treatment, the excellent rate and effective rate of pain relief between the two groups were not statistically different (P>005). While at 6th month,12th month and 24th month after treatment, the two indexes were statistically different (P<005). At 24th hour, 1th week, 1th month, 3rd month and 6th month after treatment, the quality of life between the two groups was no statistically difference(P>005);and the index was statistically different(P<005). Conclusion PVP combined with bisphosphonates could effectively treat vertebral malignant tumor, which could effectively alleviate the patient’s bone pain and improved the quality of life of patients. Besides, the operation procedures of PVP are simple and safe, which can be easily accepted by patients.
