Abstract:【Abstract】 Objective To systematically review the efficacy and safety of application of compound lidocaine cream (CLC) for puncturing of venous indwelling needles (VIN). Methods We searched databases as Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMBase, CBM, CNKI, VIP and WanFang with computer, and also retrieved other sources as supplying. All relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were collected to assessment the application of CLC for puncturing of VIN. After literature screening, data extraction and quality evaluation according to the protocal, metaanalyses were performed using the RevMan 53 software. Results Fifteen RCTs involving 2636 patients were included. The results of systematic review showed: painless rate, remission rate of pain and success rate of the first puncture of CLC group were significant higher than those of control group, the increment of blood pressure and heart rate of CLC group were significant lower than those of control group; and satisfaction rate of the CLC group were significant higher than those of control group. Conclusion Compared with traditional puncturing of VIN, the application of CLC for puncturing can significant improve clinical effect, relieving pain and improving success rate of the first puncture, relieve discomfort and improve satisfaction rate of patients and nurses.
