【Abstract】 Objective To study the diagnostic significance of virtual touch tissue imaging and quantitative shear wave elastography on granulomatous lobular mastitis and invasive breast cancer. Methods The data of VTIQ of 17 patients with granulomatous lobular mastitis by surgery or biopsy pathology were retrospectively analyzed. The data of VTIQ of 34 patients with invasive breast cancer were as control. The differential diagnosis of benign and malignant lesions was accorded on the basis of degree of hardness. Results The shear wave velocity (SWV) of 4 type of granulomatous lobular mastitis and invasive breast cancer were 232±062 m/s and 535±157m/s. The cutoff value of curve of interest depicting region less than 401m/s suggested benign lesions. VTIQ showed mastitis lesions was softer than invasive breast cancer. Conclusion Judgment of the tissue hardness with VTIQ is effective for differential diagnosis of benign and malignant invasive breast cancer.
