Abstract:【Abstract】Objective To explore the significance of reTURBt for reducing the recurrence rate and improving the prognosis of the patients with bladder tumor. Methods 157 non muscle invasive bladder cancer patients diagnosed by TURBt, including 109 cases with single TURBt, and 48 cases with reTURBt were included. All patients were followed up for 2 years, and the recurrence rate, pathologic grade and clinical stage were analyzed. Results Recurrent cases were mainly T1 or high grade urothelial cancer, and 2 cases with reTURBt had corrected pathological diagnoses. The recurrence rate of reTURBt group was lower than that of the single TURBt group(P<005).Conclusion ReTURBt can correctly define the tumor stage, reduce the recurrence rate, delay the progress and improve the prognosis of the patients with high risk bladder cancer. In clinical application, we should strictly follow the indication of reTURBt and avoid over treatment.
