【Abstract】〓Objective〓 To observe the effect of pregnancy nipple nursing on prevention of postpartum mastitis. Methods〓200 pregnant women in our hospital from February 2014 to August 2015 were treated (100 cases of papillary development were normal, 100 cases of papillary flat or concave) were randomly divided into normal nipple observation group, normal nipple control group, abnormal nipple observation group and abnormal nipple control group. The control group was treated with routine health education during pregnancy. The observation group was treated with pregnant nipple care including breast health, breast massage, pull the nipple, nipple and prevention of pregnancy. The abnormal nipple improvement and incidence of cracked nipple, milk swelling and mastitis were observed. Results〓The abnormal nipple improvement of abnormal nipple observation group improved better than that of abnormal nipple control group (P<005). The incidence of cracked nipple, milk swelling and mastitis of observation groups were obviously lower than that of control groups (P<005). Conclusion〓Pregnancy nipple care can significantly improve maternal depression and flat nipples andreduce the incidence of postpartum mastitis.
