Abstract:【Abstract】Objective This study aims were to explore the risk for atherosclerosis stroke (ATS) subtype based on South Korea modified TOAST classification in Han Chinese population in northeast Sichuan province. Methods Han Chinese population in northeast Sichuan, China, including 200 patients with ATS and 205 healthy control, were chosen for studying using the casecontrol design. Common environmental risk factors for ATS, such as gender, age, body mass index (BMI), hypertension, diabetes, smoking, drinking as well as dyslipidemia were analyzed. Results Dyslipidemia was significantly associated with ischemic stroke (P<0.05), which could increase ATS susceptibility. Dyslipidemia was a risk factor for ATS.
