Abstract:【Abstract】Objective To investigate the role of myocardial apoptosis in sepsisinduced myocardial injury. Methods 40 healthy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham group (SH group, n = 20) and sepsis group (CLP group, n = 20),The sepsis models were established by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). The levels of serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and cardiac troponin I (cTnI) were detected 24 hours after treatment. The myocardial tissue pathological changes and the expression levels of TNF-α, apoptosis in myocardial tissue were observed. Results In CLP group, myocardial tissue was seriously injured. The levels of serum BNP and cTnI of CLP group were high than that of SH group (P<0.01). The levels of myocardial TNFα and apoptosis of CLP group were higher than that of SH group (P<0.01). Conclusion Myocardial apoptosis may play an important role in the pathogenesis of sepsisinduced myocardial injury.
