Abstract:【Abstract】 Recently, with the development of ultrasonic technology, threedimensional (3D) speckletracking echocardiography (STE) has been developed. The newly developed 3D STE has overcome shortcomings of conventional twodimensional (2D) speckletracking echocardiography (2D STE), including a long analysis time, depended on geometric assumptions and tracking error. And 3DSTE provides accurate and convenient assessment of LV function. Many studies have has been shown that 3D STE is used to detect subclinical of LV dysfunction in patients with cardiovascular disease and related diseases such as hypertension, subclinical heart failure, valvular disease, diabetes and so on. This article will summarize the research progress of 3DSTE.
