【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the effect of ESCGV during colonoscopy.Methods 192 patients underwent colonoscopy in the Endoscopy Center of West China Hospital with poor bowel preparation from December 2015 to March 2016 were included in this study. The patients were randomly divided into experimental and control group. Experimental group were performed colonoscopy with the method of ESCGV flushing while the control group were performed with the method of traditional manual washing. Among the 96 patients in each group, 50 cases underwent ordinary colonoscopy while the others accepted anesthetic colonoscopy. Parameters such as bowel cleanness, comfort level of patients during ordinary colonoscopy, examination time, the degree of satisfaction of doctors and nurses were collected for analysis.Results Significant differences were found in comfort level of patient during colonoscopy, bowel cleanness, examination time and the degree of satisfaction of doctors and nurses (P＜005). Conclusion The ESCGV is worth application for colonoscopy which can improve comfort level of patient, bowel cleanness, examination time and the degree of satisfaction of doctors and nurses during the examination.
