【Abstract】 Objective To explore the clinical effect and curative value of syndrome differentiation therapy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on diabetes by dialectical treatment. Methods 110 diabetic patients in our hospital between August of 2014 and July of 2016 were divided as experimental group (55 cases) and control group (55 cases). Patients in the control group were given Western Standardized treatment, while the experimental group patients were treated with TCM prescription. The total effective rates and the adverse reactions between the two groups were compared after treatment. ResultsThe total effective rates of the experimental and control groups were 94.6% and 80.9%, respectively, with a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The adverse reaction rate of the experimental group was 7.3%, which was much lower than that of the control group (21.8%,P<0.05). Conclusion The syndrome differentiation therapy of TCM on diabetes has a definite therapeutic effect, milder adverse effect and higher clinical safety.
