【Abstract】 Objective To explore the clinical effect of Chuining Decoction on PRL type pituitary tumor. Methods 60 patients of PRL pituitary tumor were randomly divided into group A, group B and group C. The group A was treated with Chuining Decoction. The group B was treated with bromocriptine. The group C was treated with bromocriptine combined with Chuining Decoction. The patient's tumor volume, serum PRL level and TCM syndrome integral quantities scores were evaluated. Results The tumor size improvement of group C 6 months and 1 year after treatment more obviously improved than that of group A and group B (P<0.05). The serum PRL after treatment of the three groups decreased (P<005). The serum PRL level improvement of group C was was significantly higher than that in the other two groups (P<0.05). The PRL level of group C was significantly lower than that of group A and group B (P<0.05). The TCM syndrome evaluation of group C was significantly better than that of group A and group B (P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of Chuining Decoction on PRL pituitary tumor is very ideal. Chuining Decoction can effectively inhibit the growth of tumor, reduce the serum prolactin level and improve the prognosis of patients.
