【Abstract】 Objective To explore the application of Green modelbased videos in health education for perioperative patients with cardiac valve replacement and improve the quality of health education for these patients.Methods 166 patients with cardiac valve replacement were randomly divided into control group (83 cases) received routine health education and observation group (83 cases) received health education with videos based on Green model. Meanwhile, satisfactions of 28 nurses for health education mode were survey.Results The disease knowledge, satisfactions of patients and the quality of life of observation group were higher than that of control group (P＜005). The postoperative complication of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group (P＜005). Satisfactions of nurses for video health education of observation group were significantly more than that for control group (P＜005).Conclusion Video health education based on Green model can effectively improve the knowledge of patients and the satisfactions of nurses.
